Welcome to the DonorView Digital Classroom

The DonorView Digital Classroom provides the customer (student) an in-depth, hands-on learning experience. Students will work alongside the DonorView instructor as they perform each step in specific activities accomplished using DonorView. Each student will have their own sample database, called a sandbox, where they can practice and see the results of their work.

Class size will be limited so that the instructor can assist individual students and ensure all students have mastered each step before proceeding. At the end of the training, students will feel confident in performing the tasks on their own within their own account database.

How the DonorView Digital Classroom Works

Students will register for the class which will take place over Zoom at a specific date and time. Students will be provided with:

  1. An agenda for the training
  2. A link to the Zoom meeting
  3. Electronic copies of documents and images to be used during the class
  4. A login and password to access their unique DonorView sandbox
  5. Instructions for setting up their computer to view the instructor’s zoom screen and the student’s sandbox side-by-side

Students must confirm they can meet the minimum requirements to participate in the class including:

  1. A strong Wi-Fi connection
  2. Ability to join and view a zoom meeting
  3. Familiarity with zoom features such as the chat, raising a hand, or adding a reaction/emoji to demonstrate completion of various tasks during the class
  4. Computer audio speakers or ability to connect via a phone to hear the instructor
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, mail merge fields, and copy/paste functions
  6. Familiarity with DonorView and understanding of the constituent and gifts grids and how to filter and sort records

Students will join the Zoom meeting and be able to view the instructor’s screen while following along and performing the same activities in their own sandbox. Students may ask questions at any time and the instructor will ensure everyone has successfully completed the tasks before moving on.
